Medtronic was founded in 1949 as a medical equipment repair shop by Earl Bakken and his brother-in-law, Palmer Hermundslie.  Since then they have grown in to the company as we know them today.  They’re mostly known for their pace makers. Now they make various other medical therapies and tools such as radio frequency therapies, mechanical devices, drug and biologic delivery devices, and diagnostic tools. Medtronic has gone from a simple medical equipment repair shop to the medical super power of today.

PTC was founded in 1985 by Samuel Peisakhovich Geisberg. PTC is a Company that makes 3D CAD/CAM software programs. PTC’s first customer was John Deere in 1988. PTC develops like they made many programs such as the Cero program. The Cero is a program that “enables companies to unlock potential within their organizations.” In other words the Cero helps companies deal with challenges and compete more effectively in stores. The Cero address 2D and 3D CAD programs.  This company now is the newest sponsor of FIRST Team 2472, The Centurions.
